Crocodile Makes Snappy Appearance in Kampong Chhnang

Kampong Chhnang: A crocodile has returned to the surprise of villagers in Kampong Chhnang province. It was first spotted back in July in the up until then crocodile-free zone of Boeung Khna in the Ponley Commune of Boribo District. It’s not known if this is the same croc or not, but it’s caused alarm amongst the villagers.

A local fisherman made the startling discovery when reeling in what he thought was a big catch, only to find he’d hooked 1.3m reptile. Locals say that crocodiles are unheard of in the district, leaving it a mystery as to where it came from.

Authorities have urged everyone in the area to be extremely vigilant and report any more sightings immediately.
